Short Courses

Creditbearing short course is a type of short learning programme for which credits, in relation to the course’s contribution to a unit standard and/or (part) qualification, are awarded.

A ‘short learning programme’ describes all short programmes, whether credits are awarded or not. This includes skills programmes, credit bearing short courses and non-credit bearing short courses.

This is a type of short learning programme in which no credits are awarded. These non-credit bearing short courses will still form an important part of any organisation’s overall training and development programme and are usually offered in form;

  • Seminars and workshops
  • Programmes which cover part of a unit standard
  • Refresher programmes
